The author writes about all sorts of women and has interesting premises and clever turns of phrase now and then. But it all goes nowhere. Completely unsatisfying. I enjoy her movies + the movie for this book was well done (the kind you watch on a Sun. afternoon, maybe not rush to the theater to see). Actually, until I saw this on your Goodreads list I did not know that she wrote a book first.
