Wild Thing is the sequel to Beat the Reaper, an amazingly fun and brutal read. While I loved the sequel, the second got a bit off track.
It follows Dr. Peter Brown on the run from the mob and in witness protection. While the first book had him working in a hospital, the secon has him chasing creatures in the wilderness. It doesn't work quite as well. Bazell is a genius when it comes to a footnote and even endnotes so the read is still fun. It'll be really interesting to see what happens in the next novel. 5/10.
