Truck: A Love Story is a pretty mixed bag. Michael Perry writes so truthfully about small town country life that I absolutely loved it in parts. He also goes on (and on) about fixing his truck - something that made me flash back to my painful slog through Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance. I also thought his one descent into complaining about politics was unnecessary and kinda petulant. Still the bits about the fire station and his brothers were really good. I give this one a 5.
